First Aid & CPR for a Construction Setting
(TBA Spring 2010, A Saturday Workshop, $59, ASU-Jonesboro & Paragould, Instructor:  Holly Merriman).  Learn what to do to render first-on-the-scene assistance for trauma and accident situations in a construction setting.  Emergency first aid training and CRP certification for construction supervisors and employees could save a life.  Be safe, informed and prepared with this targeted responder training.

Spanish for Medical Professionals 
This is an intensive six-week course, which meets once a week for 2 1/2 hours to learn the necessary terminology to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients.  The course is accompanied by an interactive, on-line study tool that allows the student to practice skills and vocabulary outside the classroom and extend the learning experience beyond the course period.  This course is suitable for practitioners, paraprofessionals, staff and services groups in the medical professions who desire to develop their Spanish communication skills in the workplace, who need a refresher course or who desire to practice their language speaking skills.  No experience is necessary.  This course is approved for 15 contact hours of continuing education credit.  Level II is available upon demand.  (Offered at ASU-Jonesboro and ASU-Paragould.  Cost: $145.  Textbook is provided.  Instructor: Dr. Yvonne Unnold).
